Milford Drops the Ball on Its End Run for Democracy

If there are children who do not want to participate in Halloween Parties or Parades, then that’s their prerogative. Forcing them to participate would be a violation of their civil right to choose not to participate. However, eliminating parades and parties for all children because some children might feel left out, perhaps because they are Muslims or Jehovah Witnesses–this is going too far. The Milford Public School System is just another indication that Public Schools most everywhere in America are managed by the inane, the insipid and the fundamentally stupid. There is no excuse for this–thinking has nothing to do with what they engaged. Thinking is more than randomly passing images in the mind, other than playing hop-scotch with words, certainly not taking a reflex test with a doctor’s mallet of emotion to the knee of the brain.
